To be honest. The servers can’t be helping your quest. There are people who are hungry. Let them serve their guests first. But if you let me know, i’ll be happy to help with your quest.
If we check with MUIS website there isn't halal certificate. When we went there, they pulled up a photocopy Halal certificate in a folder. Funny it doesn't show up in MUIS website. Muslims be more wary.

No. It's not halal. It serves beer.
I DON'T LIKE , NOTHING COMPARED TO OLD Muthu or My My Makan plce !
9th February 2018.
Forever the best fish head!
Was there in a big group. Overall good experience we had and their 'Malai kofta' was exceptional. Cheers to the chef !
Fish head curry is a must have and the lime juice. Always opt for the plain rice and use your hands to eat. Yes use your hands.
The food is awesome at affordable price
Best indian cuisine ! Delicious food varieties. Highly recommended for any types of occasions. Veg/Non Veg options available.
Indian food restaurant. Once in a while can try.
The food was generally good, comparable to the other good Indian restaurants I have been to. We were there on a Saturday evening at a busy time, and we felt ourselves quite stressed of the service. Full packed with people and line. We waited for water for 15 minutes and needed to remind few times. The best item was their nan. Both garlic and butter nan were very tasty.
Good food, decent prices. Would give 5 stars but the atmosphere was a little off - not enough lighting
Good food. But noisy atmosphere..
A better curry fish head place then overprice muthu curry
Terrible food. Same side dish everytime. Sometimes not even cooked properly. Not really worth the money we pay.
Iconic place to eat in Little India, always busy and thats always a good sign. Varied menu: salad (Pomelo salad is good), vegetarian, fish, prawns, mutton, chicken, breads, basically a wide selection for everybody
One Singaporean friend recommended me this restaurant. It is located in the heart of Little India.I'm terms of food, you have a huge variety of food from different parts of India, which is good. Food is delicious. Portions are a bit little, if we take into account the price you payYou eat on too of a banana leaf, which gives the name of the restaurant.Service can be improved. I found the waiter to be a bit rude and slow when serving.Recommended, although they should improve the service
Delicious Indian food, fresh and affordable. So yum i want to go again. We have dosa chicken and avocado, our menu is varied and cater to all tastes. So recommend this place in Little India, very close to Little India train stop.
One of the best and most known authentic Indian restaurants I've ever tasted. The chicken masala was superb, as were the side dishes. If you are also a curry lover, you will also love this place.
Authentic Indian cuisine yet overpriced, try using a tissue to wipe on the banana leaf, its BLACK!!!
A great place to enjoy rice and curry. Thw fish head curry is a must. Food was served quickly and hot. Had a great meal twice during my visit to Singapore.
Delicious Indian cuisine. It was a bit crowded when we ate here but it was worth it. The food is really good, taste so authentic. I specifically love the curry!
Love this place. Must go restaurant in Singapore.
Food is good. Quantity quite a lot. 👍🏻
Different but wonderful experience for Indian food here. Delicious too! Would definitely come back again for it. Heaps of tourists and families still come by. Even though its a bit pricier, you'll get it out of the delicious food and atmosphere.
So this is a very popular restaurant for south Indian food. Their fish head curry is very popular. The food otherwise is also good. I love their biryani. Quite exclusive. The hygiene and staff and service is top notch.
After eating there for over a decade with seasoned indian taste buds, i conclude that venue has lessen the traditional mouth watering spices once served without fancy cutlery. Now cooked to serve non indians who seek indian food so that they may revisit.
Food quality is on a decline. Used to be 1 of the best restaurant I frequent to. The service is excellent as always.
I was a fan of Fish head curry. But standard has dropped recently during my two visits. I think they now boiled the fish head separately and mix with curry only when you order. Fish meat has no taste at all and can see all white inside. Really disappointed. Management should do something to bring back the flavourful fish head curry.
Seriously NO STAR AT ALL.Dine in for a basic common set meal - eventually was being billed as ar-la- carte meal???The bill tag amount is Double compare to the same meal I had with other restaurants. The order taker claim was - there is no set meal for my choice of meal - and thought that I was a regular and I should have known????they did not highlight nor inform me about it when I place my meal of choice as a set meal.Question and fired the order taker who acknowledge his mistake yet didn't apologize? Poor restaurant and staff management. Its clear this restaurant is Only keen to make money from diners and clearly no service recovery ethics. PoorTerrible place and yet claimed to be reputed with awards???A smaller or lesser know restaurant can do much better!!! with proper service and customer satisfaction for sure!!!
All time favourite. One of the well known restaurants in Singapore.
Apolo ain't gonna fly you to the moon anymorelost its charm, quality and flavoursfish flavoured curry is still nicethe standard vegetables are plain and not much effort have gone into preparation and taste the curry fish i had with my vvip guest seems to have been partially caught in a blender 🤣lime juice was OK.... but then again... you can drink lime juice anywhere time to try somewhere else... in my quest for the rich Indian flavours from my childhood
The best mouth watering Indian cuisines that any tourists who are into spicy food. The fish head curry is a top choice in their menu besides all the different types of dishes. They will serve everything on a banana leaf with a choice of scooping your food with your fingers which always caught all my foreign friends off guard...which has created it’s uniqueness!!! Always hit the spot whenever I was in Singapore:))
Nice. For anyone with a first experience for South Indian food. This is good. Quite fairly priced
Best food experience in Singapore overall, after living here for 2 months. Everything was exquisite, tasty. Lots of options, good atmosphere. Loved my time there. Come here for superb food
Food is not as spicy as usual Indian food, making it great for non-Indians. Better to go as a group to share side dishes. Vegetarian biryani which I tried few months ago was very value for money, mango lassi is good too
We lived in Singapore from 2005-2006 and were brought here by Singaporean friends. We returned again in 2019 when we moved back to Singapore and we could not believe how incredibly amazing it still was! Every item we have had is beyond delicious. It’s good to see some things never change.
First time at this restaurant. Customer service was fast and very friendly. It was my first time having authentic Indian food outside of the US and everything was super flavorful and tasty. Definitely will come back!
Been visiting here for years, the food has always been great and in recent years the service has actually improved quite dramatically. Keep up the good work guys!
Always one of my stops when visiting Singapore. The fish head curry is a must! Lots of veg and the fish is delicious after being cooked in the curry. Eat with copious amounts of rice- acceptable to with your hands here!
Ambience was nice. Garlic naan wasn’t exactly as described and pricing could be more reasonable for that. Different concept of eating on the banana leaf. Server Ragavan was great and prompt. He also helped arrange a ride back to my hotel.
Tried quite a few dishes here and all are yummy. I will return to eat the Fish Tika again, most value for money.
Delicious mutton briyani. Highly recommended.
Food arrived 2 hours after intended time. This was after 4 phonecalls and during each phonecall, it was promised "driver on the way, just 20min". Well... Singapore must be very big...Completely shirked responsibility by putting all the blame on driver - "called driver already, not our fault"....Well... Food quality is 60% of what is expected. Seasoning of all curries was off, texture of mutton dry and tough, seafood not as fresh as it should be and lastly rice was mushy.1 star rating is 1 star too many.
Hello guys I visit banana leaf Apolo first time. I like the food very much, nice food. I'll give excellent for this.
The restaurant is just beside the road so it's convenient. However parking is a chore as there are limited lots.Seating is fair and the seat is not too comfortable. Food is good. The curry fish has typical thick and spicy Indian curry. The rice is well cooked and the poppadoms are just nice and not too salty.Service....as with most Indian restaurants is very very slow and they may just mix up your order so do make sure you get what you asked for.Fish head curry serving is big but the rest of the meat orders are rather small so be warned.
Boring food. Same type every time. The side dishes were so raw and after eating I became extremely thirsty. The food is so highly priced but quality is questionable.
Great food and ice cold beer
The best meal I have had so far. The food was beautiful and the taste was amazing. The portion sizes are generous but you do not feel heavy after eating there. The flavours of everything was sublime. I am going to make a point of going here every time I come back to Singapore.
Ordered the squid and i believe it was the day before.. rubbery feel.. felt the tumeric was over powering..
First time eating indian food in a foreign country outside of the states. The food is very tasty everything is very fresh I really enjoyed everything here. I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers to enjoy. I order the Samosa, garlic naan, Tandoori chicken was amazing and the rice was delicious.
The fish head curry and Brayani rice was good. This place has many tourist as pricing is higher than other indian fish head curry joints. Busy place and hard to get waiters attention and sometimes you have to wait longer than normal to get dishes ordered.
Friends visit here and there experience I show I one feedback This was served with Masala Dosa at Banana Leaf in Sector V. The restaurant does not have a fresh banana leaf to serve the food. While asked the helping boy to change, he replied that leaf is out of stock. How do they maintain the name or fame of the restaurant as Banana Leaf wherein no fresh leaf is available to serve?
This is the usual place we head to when craving for south indian food. One of the few places still serving fish roe fried nicely with light coating. The fish cutlet is also a wonderful blend of spice flavours and textures that I'd highly recommend. It isn't just the usual "fish-flavoured, potato patty".
